The headlights of a vehicle must be switched on during the day, whilst driving on Namibian roads. This law came into action on 28 July 2015, West Coast Safety Initiative states on social media.

He quoted the Daytime Running Lamp. Reg. 178 which states: "A person driving a motor vehicle during the day on a trunk road, main road and district road must switch on the head lamp on dipped beam or daytime running light as contemplated in regulation 178. (Amended of Reg 178 - G/G no 5792 of 28 July 2015)".
